Summary

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Representative is responsible for the development and implementation of USC's sales strategy within his/her assigned accounts. This includes the strategic sales of USC's marketed products, as well as the recommendation for new products in development. Key areas of accountability are with respect to the sector's overall sales efforts as well as adhering to the company's policies and guidelines relative to field operations and training and development.

Principal Duties

  • Call on prospective and existing accounts with the goal of initiating new sales orders for US Compounding
  • Planning and organizing daily work schedule to optimize efficiencies with account calls and daily routing.
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of potential and current customers.
  • Utilizes approved promotional pieces for all sales activity with USC customers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, marketing techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in company sponsored training programs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience in local market where job is posted
  • 3 years' of well-documented history of pharmaceutical sales or B2B in a medical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of: meeting or exceeding sales goals, closing skills, territory management, prospecting skills, negotiation, product knowledge, presentation skills and client relationships.
